InMedica Group, the largest private medical services group in Lithuania, managed by INVL Baltic Sea Growth Fund, the leading private equity fund in the Baltic States, continued its expansion strategy this October by adding the Druskininkai Pušynas clinic to its own network.
“This acquisition is a key step in strengthening the provision of rehabilitation services and increasing access to medical services in the Druskininkai region. Until now, rehabilitation services have been integrated into the InMedica Group’s multi-profile Kardiolita clinics, but for some time we have sought to have a separate, specialised clinic in this field. Our priority is to offer patients an uninterrupted health journey. By adding the Druskininkai Pušynas clinic and including rehabilitation in the range of services, we can ensure comprehensive patient journey – from the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses to recovery after surgery,” says Laura Penikienė, InMedica Group’s Managing Director for Multifunctional Clinics.
Jūratė Dambravienė, the CEO of the Druskininkai Pušynas clinic, says constant attention to patients’ growing needs along with employees’ long-term dedication and ever-increasing experience have enabled the clinic to develop successfully from the very start.
“It is heartening to me how the hard work of the clinic’s highly professional and motivated team has earned the patients’ trust. I am confident that InMedica Group will continue the clinic’s smooth work and that its experience in the medical field will open up even wider opportunities for patients and increase the accessibility of those services,” Dambravienė says.
A new clinic to help meet growing rehabilitation needs
Global trends show that the need for rehabilitation services is continually growing. In that context, the Druskininkai Pušynas clinic’s integration into InMedica Group makes it possible not only to satisfy patients’ expectation, but also to ensure that services are of top-class quality.
“A holistic approach to health is one of our priorities and lets us adapt to changing trends in patient care. Treatment models increasingly focus on wellness and restoring function. Integrated rehabilitation services will help ensure coherent and comprehensive healthcare in the region,” Laura Penikienė stresses.
The Managing Director for Multifunctional Clinics notes that, to further expand its range of services, InMedica Group plans to open more new rehabilitation clinics in the future: “This is the first specialised rehabilitation clinic in our group. Next year we plan to open a specialised rehabilitation clinic in Vilnius, also will introduce services of this type at the group’s clinic in Šiauliai.”
Boosting access to medical services in outlying areas
InMedica Group, with more than 80 clinics, aims to increase access to all types of healthcare in outlying areas. The Druskininkai Pušynas clinic is the network’s first one in that resort town.
“We notice that it is more difficult for patients to access medical services in smaller cities and towns. Our goal is to make sure that the specialists people need are available not just in the cities but also in outlying areas. Since our network of clinics is spread across Lithuania, we can arrange treatment by the needed highly qualified doctors also outside the country’s main cities,” Penikienė says.
InMedica Group continuously strives not just to provide high-quality, professional services, but also to make sure that patients do not have to wait in queues for their health to be taken care of.
A clinic that has already earned patients’ appreciation
The Druskininkai Pušynas clinic, which has been working successfully for over 15 years, has earned the trust of patients not only in Druskininkai but also in neighbouring municipalities like Lazdijai, Marijampolė and Alytus. The clinic currently employs a team of 34 doctors and rehabilitation specialists. Amid steady growth and an increasing need for services, the revenue forecast for this year is EUR 650,000.
“The Druskininkai Pušynas clinic offers diverse services including rehabilitation, wellness care such as massage and physiotherapy, and consultations with cardiologists, neurologists, neurologists, endocrinologists, gynaecologists, and other medical specialists. In the future, given the innovations in medicine, we plan to expand the range of services and introduce even more innovative treatment methods and wellness procedures,” Penikienė notes.
It is expected that in the future, it will be possible to refer patients from other InMedica family clinics and the multi-profile Kardiolita clinics to the Druskininkai Pušynas clinic.
